Dreamcatchers are good luck charms that reflect a positive energy, neutralize negative energy, and protect you from bad dreams and nightmares, whether you are awake or asleep. Having a dreamcatcher in your room provides a sense of tranquillity and calmness. It provides pleasant energy during the day and at night when sleeping. Native American cultures believe that both good and bad dreams fill the air at night.

Spirit sticks~ Sometimes called a talking stick.

Pick from one of our sticks or bring a special one with you. Use your stick to tell a story, and create a memory. Like a talking stick, it can also be used to give a voice to the speaker and connect with a higher being. The Hopi Indians had a special prayer stick to which a small bag of the sacred meal was attached.

Altered Books~ Want to change your story?

Have you heard of stories that have multiple endings? Well, this is a chance to change the trajectory of your story, document events, and re-write your story into a found book. An altered book acts as a container for a series of works throughout a period of time. The printed book provides space for the person to include their own images, words, and creativity in work created by someone else.

Into the Depths of Grief- Healing artfully

(Formally called Healing Saudade)

Healing Grief- Art can Help begin your Healing All of us have experienced a significant life event, whether it is losing a loved one, changing one’s status, or a feeling of profound loss. Learn how to use art to begin your healing.

Grief is a natural response to various events throughout our life, losing a loved one, a home, or a job. It comes in different forms, like the weight of a heavy blanket, a chasm without a bottom, or a wave that comes crashing down and sweeps you away. It can be buried deep down so one cannot see the pain or it can be fluid-like, flooding one with intense feelings.

Into the Depths of Grief is a 45-minute talk on the types and stages of the grief process and how they express their grief in different stages using creative expression. There is an option to include an art activity afterward.

Feeling alone is one of the toughest parts of grieving. Denying ignoring, or repressing emotions can be very dangerous for one’s well-being. Repressed feelings can be expressed through anger, guilt, and depression. These emotions can create barriers to can impede healing your heart, risk loving again, and moving forward.

Mirror, mirror on the wall…Really???

How do you feel about yourself? If you are hesitant to answer, don’t worry, you are not alone. 79%  of the population, especially women, feels dissatisfied with their self esteem.

Much of this comes from body image based on perceptions and feelings. It is not based on what one’s actual appearance really is. That’s because, for many years from the beginning of time, women have been told what they should look like. Women need to be pencil thin, have perfect skin, and beautiful facial features, wear designer clothes, look sexy and at the same time raise a family, earn a living, and nurture everyone she comes in contact with- right? This workshop will delve into what you want to be as a woman, focusing on the positives and how perfect you are the way you are.
